PUNT. is an organisation that offers qualitative support for victims of inappropriate sexual behaviour or sexual violence.
I conduct theater sessions for PUNT. that focus on how to navigate one’s sense of self and how to cope with body-image issues. The goal of my theater workshops is to offer the participants new ways to share their story and thus to process it. By experimenting with different roles and movement patterns, we look for new and non-threatening ways for them to open up about the trauma they suffered.
Every session starts from the encounter and then explores playacting (and the joy it can result in).
Safety for each and every participant is paramount in the whole process. That sense of safety is a necessity to be able to go on stage and work with the personal trauma. The stage is also dynamic: everyone can enter or leave the performance area whenever they feel like it.
